These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Restaurant Venner website and your dining experience with us. By accessing our website, making a reservation, purchasing a gift card, or dining with us, you agree to the terms set out below.


1. Reservations

Reservations are managed via OpenTable or other approved booking platforms.

  • A valid credit card may be required to secure your booking.

  • Large group bookings may require a deposit or full prepayment.

  • We may contact you to confirm booking details.

  • Seating times may apply to ensure a smooth service for all guests.

We reserve the right to cancel or amend reservations where necessary, including in cases of operational requirements, force majeure, or circumstances beyond our control.


2. Cancellation Policy

As a small restaurant, late cancellations significantly impact our team and suppliers.

  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to your reservation time unless otherwise specified at booking.

  • Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee per guest.

  • Special events, ticketed dinners, or set menu experiences may carry stricter cancellation terms, including non-refundable deposits.

Applicable cancellation terms will be displayed at the time of booking.


3. Set Menus, Minimum Spend & Events

Certain services, private dining bookings, or special events may require:

  • Participation in a set menu

  • A minimum spend

  • A deposit or full prepayment

Event-specific terms will be communicated at the time of enquiry or booking confirmation.


4. Dietary Requirements & Allergies

We aim to accommodate dietary requirements where possible.

  • All dietary needs must be communicated at the time of booking.

  • While we take care in preparation, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

  • Menu substitutions may not always be possible for set menus or events.

Guests with severe allergies are encouraged to notify staff on arrival.


5. Pricing & Accuracy of Information

We strive to ensure all information on our website — including menus, pricing, availability, and event details — is accurate and up to date.

However:

  • Menus and pricing are subject to change without notice.

  • Errors or omissions may occur.

  • We reserve the right to correct any inaccuracies, including pricing errors, and to amend or cancel affected bookings where required.

All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) unless otherwise stated.


6. Gift Cards

Gift cards:

  • Are non-refundable

  • Cannot be redeemed for cash

  • Must be presented at the time of payment

  • May carry an expiry date in accordance with Australian Consumer Law

Lost, stolen, or damaged gift cards cannot be replaced. Gift cards may not be used for deposits unless specified.


7. Website Use

By using this website, you agree to:

  • Use it for lawful purposes only

  • Provide accurate and current information when making bookings or purchases

  • Not attempt to interfere with the security, functionality, or operation of the website

  • Not reproduce or misuse website content without permission

Unauthorised use may result in termination of access.

10. Photography & Media

If you do not wish to appear in photography or video content, please notify our team.


11. Behaviour & Service

We strive to create a warm, respectful environment for guests and staff.

We reserve the right to refuse service or remove guests who:

  • Act in a disruptive, unsafe, or aggressive manner

  • Fail to comply with reasonable staff direction

  • Are intoxicated or behave inappropriately

We also reserve the right to enforce responsible service of alcohol in accordance with Queensland law.


12. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Restaurant Venner is not liable for:

  • Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings

  • Indirect or consequential loss

  • Matters outside our reasonable control

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law.


13. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the website (or any part of it) at any time without notice.

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued use of our website or services constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.


14. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
