Wine on the Porch · Wednesday 16 September · 5pm to 9pm
Since moving to our set menu, we’ve heard from plenty of regulars who miss being able to simply drop in for a glass of wine and something to eat.
We understand. Not every visit needs to be an occasion.
So, on Wednesday 16 September, we’re opening up the front porch for something a little different. An evening built around good wine, a few things from the kitchen and the opportunity to settle in for as much, or as little, as you like.
And to make a midweek evening at Venner a little more compelling, we’ll be joined by Anton Van Klopper of Lucy M.
Anton has long been one of the most distinctive voices in Australian natural wine. Through Lucy M, formerly Lucy Margaux, he has built a reputation for wines that are expressive, unconventional and deeply connected to the fruit and places they come from.
On the night, Anton will be joining us on the porch, opening a selection of Lucy M wines, including some of the latest releases, and talking through them as we go.
No lecture. No need to know the right things to say about wine. Just an opportunity to taste alongside the person who made it and ask a question or two along the way.
Latest release from Lucy M.
A Wednesday evening, at your own pace
From 5pm until 9pm, we’ll be out on the porch making the most of the warmer weather.
You can drop by for a glass and a snack, work your way through a few wines, or leave the decisions to us with a curated Lucy M tasting flight and a selection of snacks from the Venner kitchen.
Come for one on the way home. Stay for a few. Bring a friend and make an evening of it.
For one night, there’s no set menu and no particular pace to follow.
